Pretty Crazy

Joe Yung’s Concert, Hong Kong [2019]

The tour opens at the Hong Kong Coliseum, with audiences around all sides of the stage. A kinetic spherical sculpture is hung from the ceiling of the arena. Composed of rings of LED display, the sculpture transforms into different geometry following the theme of each song and segment.

Joey is first revealed in the middle of the sphere, where the sculpture slowly splits in half. Video content on the sphere brings life to the sculpture, creating a sense of illusion. Projection mapping on gauzes adds another layer of wonder to the project.
