RUBY LAW [RULA]

SET + PRODUCTION DESIGNER

Ruby Law is a London-based set designer and production designer, architect and artist working internationally across live performance, pop music, theatre, dance, fashion, ceremonies and immersive experiences.

Trained in architecture at HKU, MIT, and The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL), Ruby has worked with acclaimed creatives, including Zaha Hadid, Thomas Heatherwick, and Es Devlin. In 2020, she founded RULA Design Studio, a multidisciplinary practice exploring the intersection of space, storytelling, performance, light and film.

Her recent work includes Production Design for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Toronto Opening Ceremony with Balich Wonder Studio, concert set design for KUN at the Venetian, Come Alive: The Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular in London, and Twice-Born for Scottish Ballet.

Across concerts and live performance, Ruby has created stages and environments for artists including Jorja Smith, Haim, FKA twigs, Joey Yung, Tyson Yoshi and Terence Lam. Her theatre and dance work has been presented at venues and organisations including Sadler's Wells, Scottish Ballet and West Kowloon Cultural District. Her work also extends to experiential design, fashion and cultural projects, collaborating with organisations and brands including V&A, Prada, Gucci, Alaïa, Vitra, IWC and Disney.

Through RULA, Ruby approaches each project as a world to be built, combining architecture, scenography, materiality and technology to create spaces that transform through performance.
