SET DESIGNER
Ruby Law is a London-based set designer, architect, and artist known for her bold and innovative work in live performance design.
Ruby studied architecture at HKU, MIT, and The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) and has worked with acclaimed creatives, including Zaha Hadid Architects, Heatherwick Studio, and Es Devlin.
In 2020, she founded RULA Design Studio, a multidisciplinary practice that blends narrative, geometry, materiality, light, and film to craft immersive environments. Her work spans theatre, dance, pop concerts, fashion, and art installations.
In theatre, Ruby has designed striking sets for productions such as Twice Born by Scottish Ballet, Warrior Queens at Sadler's Wells Theatre, Come Alive: The Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Garden of Repose by NOĒMA, and Breeding at King's Head Theatre.
As a concert stage designer, she has worked with world-renowned artists, including Billie Eilish, Jorja Smith, Haim, FKA Twigs, Joey Yung, and Terence Lam.
Ruby's design expertise also extends to brand experiences. She has collaborated with iconic names such as Prada, Gucci, Alaïa, Vitra, IWC, Ford, and Disney. Her art and installation work has been exhibited at international platforms, including the Venice Biennale and Somerset House.
