KUN DEADMAN

The Venetian, 2026

Set Design by Ruby Law

KUN is a rare presence in Chinese pop, an artist whose music is inseparable from the worlds he creates around it. His voice, imagery and performances are cinematic in scale. For DEADMAN, we approached the arena not as a concert stage, but as a world with its own geography, history and rules. KUN becomes the Deadman, a lone cowboy trapped in an endless cycle of destruction and rebirth.

The world begins as an empty terrain of sand and earth. With each cycle, a new landscape is unearthed: ancient ruins rise from the ground, the arena expands into a mythic Wild West, cities emerge from the sand, and intimate memories unfold across water and nature. Sand remains the constant, revealing, burying and erasing each world as one life gives way to the next. In the final act, Colder, the earth dissolves into an endless frozen landscape. The Deadman is left behind in the snow, while KUN walks beyond the world we have created. One cycle ends, and another is ready to begin.
